Hydroponic 2 plant PC grow case

Here is my PC grow box, it has four 23 watt 2700k lights on a timer, a two plant grow chamber with pump and airstone, also three 80mm fans to keep it cool. I lined the inside with insulated mylar .A few people are building these and selling them on Ebay. So I thought I would build one for myself. Thanks Craig.

Hello Nate, Thanks for the input I built this to try to sell, so far no luck. I am new to hydroponics and very interested in it. I am a unemployed carpenter no building going on much now. But I like building things it keeps my mind still working. I know my project may not be practical and the not best but I am enthused and wanting to build more projects. I grew a really decent soil garden last year alot of haberneros which I like peppers. I appreciate your website Thanks alot Craig.

Its very practical and looks really nice. Although the size is a bit small, a computer case is perfect. Its made out of aluminum (rust resistant and stays cool) and they are made to be very efficient at cooling.

Hmmmm.... it could be quite stealthy too... O_o Although, questions would arise should someone try to turn it on.

But you would have to grow small plants. It could be quite nice for some of the smaller orchids and other rare and hard to keep tropical species. Have you tried Ebay?

The dimensions of the box are 18" high 7" wide and 18.5" Deep , It was the tallest case I could get at my local computer store. If I build another I will try to get a taller case I will have to order it online. The lights are CFLs, as far as who is Craig my name is Craig Lanini, I am the person who made the other project on your website Thanks Craig.

I wasn't sure but when I first saw this I thought it was a PC tower! Now that I read it again it says PC right in the title...Der...

Very cool idea, perhaps you could use old cases instead of buying new ones. Plus the old dinosaur pc's are usually really huge. Although they are always super heavy and usually made out of steel.

Also, using combination's of "cool" and "warm" florescent lights gives you a better light spectrum.

Can I ask what you plan on growing in this?
