8 Plant Ebb and Flow

This is a system I just built for a friend, it is the same design as the Ebb and Flow found here except, instead of gluing the plant sites onto the elbows I used 3/4" slip to 1/2" threaded female elbows and the bottom portion of a 1/2" to 3/4" riser cutoff at the hex head. I used a #10 rubber washer between the plant pot and the top of the elbow and one between the bottom of the plant pot and homemade part. Completely leak proof and more stable than if glued and has the added bonus of being able to remove the plant pots.

I also added a duel overflow to compensate for the over powered pump that I used. I painted all the plumbing flat black to help reduce light penetration. Over all an awesome looking system that works great!
